King George County is the Gateway to the Northern Neck. Bordered on the north by the Potomac River and the Rappahannock River on the south. King George is all about getting outdoors. Fishing is fabulous, with many species to look for in either river.  Kayaking and canoe, bring your boat or book a guide.
Summer home to American Bald Eagles. Has trails leading to the Potomac River, open year-round 8AM to sunset. A visitor center, campsites, four picnic areas, a picnic shelter and restrooms are available. Canoe and kayaks, carry in only.
A full service, marina, boat yard, and café on Machodoc Creek. Ramp is open 24/7 and is close to the Potomac River’s best fishing. Natural beauty and abundant fishing spots.
County maintained boat ramp with access to the Rappahannock River. Limited parking, good for small fishing boats or kayaks/canoes. Hours: 5AM – 8PM.
State maintained boat ramp with access to the Rappahannock River. Adequate parking and concrete ramp. Hours: 8AM – 5PM.
